Modern luxury is increasingly tied to control and customization. Discerning homeowners seek control over their busy lives and schedules. They desire to create spaces that are uniquely personal and distinctly customized. And they want to live and work in environments that master the elements and enhance wellbeing. Thanks to an innovative suite of KOHLER® products, this new vision of luxury is a reality for the residents of The Pakubuwono Menteng

A New Vision for Luxury Design

As one of the city’s most desirable new addresses, The Pakubuwono Menteng had
already achieved icon status in its revered neighborhood before construction even ended. Surrounded by financial towers, national buildings, historical heritage sites, commercial centers, schools, and hospitals, it stands tall as a beacon of modern luxury and a toast to the future of this city of more than ten million residents. The Pakubuwono Menteng follows the success of other similar properties throughout the region by developer The Pakubuwono Development. The goal with these kinds of high-rises, says project director Bambang Suryoputro, is to create luxurious yet affordable residences that focus on health and wellbeing while bringing happiness to the lives of those  who live, work, play, and unwind in these spaces.

This was the first time we used digital showers, and across the Asia Pacific, our project was the first to use them. The number of digital showers we installed at The Pakubuwono Menteng is the largest in the world for a single project

_____BAMBANG SURYOPUTRO, PROJECT DIRECTOR OF THE PAKUBUWONO DEVELOPMENT

To help carry out this vision of luxury, The Pakubuwono Development partnered with Singapore-based Aston Design. “We were looking to raise the bar with this project,” says David Edwards, Aston Design managing director. “The team envisioned to have a luxury hospitality aesthetic that blended modern design with traditional decorative patterns and materials that Jakartans would recognize as relevant to this area.” Edwards and the Aston Design team included a number of digital elements in the apartments’ design specifically to enhance the experiential aspect of the kitchens and bathrooms.

As a result, luxury at The Pakubuwono Menteng is all about integrating digital technology into everyday life within the residences. The apartments are equipped with KOHLER® intelligent toilets, KOHLER touchless kitchen faucets, luxurious KOHLER fixtures and accessories, and KOHLER Beitou™ showerheads, which include three water experiences—cascade, rain, and laminar—as well as water-activated LED lights. All of these features allow personalization in kitchen and bath experiences that contribute to the health and wellbeing of the residents

Innate™ intelligent toilet offers comfort, convenience, and cleanliness with an automatic.

The DTV+™ digital showering system allows individual users to control water, music, steam, and lighting for a completely personalized shower experience.

A Full Suite of Luxury Products

KOHLER products are found throughout each apartment, along with common spaces and amenity areas. Each master suite features a stunning Veil™ Freestanding Lithocast bath that serves as the centerpiece of the room. A matching Veil™ Trough Vessel bathroom sink, Innate Intelligent Toilet with upgraded remote control, and KOHLER accessories complete the look. The same theme was applied to the kitchens, which feature KOHLER Sensate™ touchless pulldown kitchen faucets. Veil™ wall-hung toilets and vessel bathroom sinks are located throughout common-area bathrooms along with Rain Duet™ multifunction handshowers and KOHLER accessories.

We wanted a design-driven and coordinated set of sanitary fixtures from a brand that would align with the caliber of The Pakubuwono Menteng,” says Edwards. “That’s why we turned to KOHLER. It was as a name that could provide brand recognition for residents and create an aspirational design angle to spaces which are commonly not highly specified in other developments.
