Design Shanghai 2024
Design Shanghai, one of the world’s most prestigious international design shows, has become a highly anticipated event in the growing design scene in Asia. It offered networking opportunities and a chance to build relationships with renowned architects, interior designers, developers, and buyers.
At the booth, Kohler Co. showcased the latest products and services across its five brands – KOHLER®, KOHLER Exquisite, Kast, KALLISTA®, and KLAFS. The premium brands Kast, KALLISTA, and KLAFS combined elegant designs and intelligent technologies, demonstrating the excellence of detailed craftsmanship and pursuing graceful, healthy, and sustainable lifestyles. The brand portfolio and rich design palette invited visitors to a captivating journey.
The Kohler booth also featured Formation 01 and Formation 02, presented in collaboration with SR_A, an industrial design studio founded by Dr. Samuel Ross. A cocreated pop-up art installation, Terminal 03, was exhibited at The Bund Financial Center from June 20 to June 23.
The KOHLER · Design Shanghai Design Forum brought top global talents to the stage. Under the theme “The New Universal Language of Design,” speakers and panelists explored designing for the future and groundbreaking collaborations. During the opening day, Nada Debs, founder and creative director of Studio Nada Debs; Dr. Samuel Ross MBE, award-winning British artist and designer; Matthew Lui, partner at Hirsch Bedner & Associates Ltd; and Larry Yuen, Kohler’s group president of Kitchen & Bath International & New Ventures; discussed dimensions of formless exploration, craftmanship, cultural inclusion, environmental sustainability, and emotional impact.
