Designed by renowned American firm Leo A Daly, the Ritz-Carlton in Harbin, China, encapsulates the frosty beauty of this riverside metropolis known as the “Ice City.” The 270-meter-tall high-rise hotel towers above the Songhua River, with cracking ice that inspired the building’s glass façade. The hotel serves as a striking landmark and heralds the beginning of a new era for premium luxury hotels in the region.

The hotel's interior is an exercise in contrasts, blending the city's natural beauty and the culture's vibrancy with high-end finishes worthy of a luxury getaway. These include layered marble panels, finely crafted brass metals, warm wood veneers, and contemporary color accents.

The crowning jewel of the hotel’s 366 guest rooms is the Ritz-Carlton Suite, with a contemporary design that recreates the glow of sunlight reflecting through melting ice. This space as well as all guest rooms showcase a variety of high-end fixtures from Kohler. The design team selected sleek, modern KALLISTA® Per Se bathroom faucets. This collection strays from complex fluting to deliver a slender, soft, minimal, and highly complementary aesthetic to the guest rooms’ marble-finished bathrooms. Continuing the theme of minimal luxury, Eir™ smart toilets feature a flowing silhouette and innovative features, including heated seats and customizable cleansing. Rounding out this opulent trio from Kohler is the Lovee™ freestanding bath, which adds modern elegance to the space.
