KOHLER, Wis. – Feb. 19, 2019 – Kohler Co., global leader in kitchen and bathroom design and innovation, introduces its newest digital showering platform: DTV Mode. A perfect marriage of enhanced functionality and features of a digital shower, with the familiarity and aesthetic of a traditional mechanical valve, the new model offers consumers and trade alike an intuitive solution for showering upgrades.
Much like its predecessors within the KOHLER DTV (digital thermostatic valve) showering family, the DTV Mode provides the most popular digital features, including warm up to purge pipes of cold water and warm to the desired temperature, timed operation for more control over water use and shower length, and user- configurable presets to allow for a fully-customizable experience. The primary difference is that DTV Mode is designed to be controlled with a sleek, stylish dial control that feels more like a traditional mechanical valve. This system is ideal for first time digital shower users, or for those who prefer the aesthetic of a physical control valve versus a touch screen interface.
The DTV Mode will offer configurations for a shower, bath/shower, and bath fill-only applications. An optional remote on/off button will also be available as a means of operating the shower from outside of the enclosure, acting much like the digital auxiliary interfaces in the other DTV systems.
Additionally, DTV Mode will have Bluetooth capability, and comes with a Bluetooth Smartphone App (Apple and Android compatible,) that allows the user to set up system defaults, create user pre-sets and remotely activate their shower/bath.
The new unit is priced competitively and serves as an entry point for many consumers into the digital showering experience.
