Kohler Design Forum brings together leading voices in architecture and design to explore how tradition and technology are shaping the future of the built environment.
Hosted by Kohler and moderated by Suzy Annetta, founder and publisher of Design Anthology, the Kohler Design Forum—Then and Now: Designing with Memory, Meaning and Machine—unites leading architects and designers to examine how the past and future coexist in design.
The first stream explores AI and emerging technologies in architecture, with Simon Yu of Zaha Hadid Architects and Craig Miller of Heatherwick Studio. In the second stream, Lyndon Neri of Neri&Hu explores adaptive reuse and the poetic potential of reimagined spaces, while Su Seam Teo of LTW Designworks discusses incorporating historical detail and preserving cultural memory.

Craig Miller leads Heatherwick Studio’s China office, driving large-scale urban projects across Asia. His portfolio includes Changi Airport Terminal 5 (Singapore), Google HQ (London), Olympia Exhibition Centre, Pacific Place (Hong Kong), 1000 Trees (Shanghai), Eden tower (Singapore), and a tech campus in South Korea. With over a decade in Asia, Craig advocates for sustainable, human-centered cities. He is a chartered architect (RIBA), a member of the Urban Land Institute, and holds degrees in architecture from the University of Strathclyde.
Simon Yu leads Zaha Hadid Architects ’s Hong Kong office and has directed landmark projects across China and Hong Kong, including Guangzhou Opera House, Jockey Club Innovation Tower, and Changsha Meixihu Cultural Centre. His current work includes the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Technopark, Sanya Cultural Centre, and The Henderson in Hong Kong’s financial district. With over two decades of experience, Simon plays a key role in shaping civic and cultural architecture in the region. He studied architecture in Aberdeen and at the Architectural Association in London.
Su Seam Teo is a leading hospitality designer known for her refi ned, high-impact interiors across Asia and Europe. With over 30 years of experience, she has shaped iconic spaces for brands like Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Alila, Moxy, and Marina Bay Sands. Her recent projects in Cyprus and Spain reflect an evolving global perspective. Su Seam’s ability to craft visually striking spaces is matched by her deep understanding of architecture, interior design, and construction, making her a trusted voice in luxury hotel design.
Lyndon Neri is the co-founder of Neri&Hu, a Shanghai-based interdisciplinary design practice. A Harvard and UC Berkeley graduate, Neri is a recognized educator and design thinker, having held visiting roles at Princeton, Yale, Harvard, and UC Berkeley. His work spans architecture, interiors, and publishing, with two monographs and a dialogue series on Shanghai architects. In 2025, he was named Honorary Fellow of the AIA, affirming his global influence in shaping contemporary design discourse.
Suzy Annetta is the founder of Design Anthology, an independent media brand shaping the dialogue around contemporary design and architecture in Asia. As a curator, editor, and recognized authority, she has spent over a decade amplifying creative voices and uncovering the human stories behind design. Under her leadership, Design Anthology has grown beyond print into exhibitions, events, and collaborations—building community and spotlighting emerging and established talent across the region.
